What destroys our health?
There are a lot of habits we do that harm our body ,some of these habits we know cause damage, and there are a few that we do without knowing their negative effects. In this article, we will mention these habits and show their effects .
Habits that destroy our health:
- Not exercising
Exercise will not only help you relax and relive stress; it also has countless effects on all body systems. So when you don’t exercise, you are losing many benefits, such as positive effect on your heart health, brain health, muscle health, and psychological effects.
- Addiction to substances
There are a lot of harmful substances that we consume ,such as tobacco and alcohol. When we start consuming these substances, we are exposing ourselves to all the harm. Excessive drinking or smoking are related to health disorders, for example, high blood pressure, liver disease, stroke, depression ,anxiety, and cancer.
- Binge Eating
A lot of us consume large amounts of food when we are sad or anxious. This habit is harmful and negatively affects our body, as it can lead to dangerous mental conditions like anorexia or bulimia.
4.Blasting Your Headphones
A lot of us increase volume to the maximum level when we are using headphone, but this is a very harmful habit and might lead to hearing loss as you age .so we shouldn’t increase the volume and don’t use headphones for a lot of time.
- Sedentary life style and sitting for too long
Sleeping all day simply because of laziness is a very dangerous habit as it can lead to many health disorders. Studies prove that this habit can increase your risk of heart disease, obesity, diabetes, cancer ,and others.
6.Biting Nails
Many people have this habit due to anxiety, and this habit also affects our health negatively as it can damage our teeth and might lead to infection. Nails often carry germs, and by biting, them you might risk transferring these germs into your mouth.
- Spending a lot of time on technology
This habit has countless physical and mental effects on our health. It may lead to vision problems ,may cause a loss of motivation, and decrease your motivation. Studies show that if you use technology before sleep, it may lead to diabetes, obesity, and sleeping disorders.
8.Not sleeping enough
Lack of sleep is dangerous, as this causes a lot of health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, poor mental health, obesity, stroke, cognitive decline and depression.
- Taking too many medications
Polypharmacy (using five or more drugs at the same time ) increases the risk of drug interactions and side effects. So you should not take too many drugs(even over the counter drugs ) unless they are prescribed by your doctor for certain conditions.
In conclusion, there are things we do daily that harm our health. we must determine these habits and try to avoid them.
